Jueyoung Yang

Jueyoung Yang, born in South Korea, studied violin at the Universität der Künste Berlin with Prof. Ilan Gronich. This was followed by studies with Prof. Erich Höbarth at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig, which she completed in 2022 with her master class examination with honours.

Jueyoung Yang won several prestigious prizes, for instance in the International Hindemith Competition and Ibolyka Gyarfas Foundation Violin Competition. In 2011 she held a scholarship from Berlin’s Paul Hindemith Society, attending numerous advanced courses. As a chamber musician she performed at various festivals, including Yellow Barn Music in the USA and Holland’s Schiermonnikoog Music Festival, as well as holding a scholarship from the Rhineland-Palatinate Villa Musica Foundation.

She interned at the NDR Hamburg Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Berlin Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester and Berlin Staatskapelle. She has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since 2017.
