Lutz Randow

Trumpet

Born in Gransee near Berlin, from 1975 to 1979 Lutz Randow studied with Helmut Sturm at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music. From 1978 he continued his studies in Dresden with Prof. Ludwig Güttler, also acting as his assistant until 1982.

From 1979 to 1982 Lutz Randow was deputy solo trumpet at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam and then solo trumpet in the Dresden Philharmonic. As a chamber musician and soloist he played in the Ludwig Güttler Brass Ensemble, among other groups, and as a guest player in major orchestras performed in many of the world's most important concert halls. In 2006 he taught at the Nuremberg University of Music.

Lutz Randow has been trumpeter in the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since 1983.
