May-Britt Trunk

May-Britt Trunk was born in Wolfsburg and had her first violin and piano lessons aged six. After winning first prize in the national Jugend musiziert competition in 1998, she studied initially with Uwe-Martin Haiberg at the Berlin University of the Arts before moving to Ina Kertscher at Hanover’s University of Music and Drama.

Advanced classes with Ulf Scheider, Stephan Picard, Antje Weithaas and Christoph Schickedanz completed her training. May-Britt Trunk was a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and an intern at Berlin’s Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester.

She has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since 2006.
