Paulina Riquelme

Paulina Riquelme started playing the violin aged six, with a scholarship from the Beethoven Foundation. She studied with Prof. Elena Batrakova at the Escuela Moderna de Música in Santiago de Chile, and with Prof. Kolja Lessing at Stuttgart’s University of Music and Performing Arts, where she passed her master’s exam with distinction. She then studied viola with Prof. Andra Darzins at the same institution, again graduating with distinction. In 2010, Paulina Riquelme won the Special ‘Best Chilean Violinist’ Prize at the International Dr. Luis Sigall Violin Competition, also giving concerts as soloist with various orchestras in Chile. She has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony since 2017.
