Wolfgang Braun

Wolfgang Braun, born in Stuttgart, played in various amateur and youth orchestras while still a schoolboy. From 1979 he studied with Johannes Ritzkowsky at Stuttgart’s University of Music and Performing Arts. After an initial engagement at Augsburg’s Municipal Theatre he continued his studies with Prof. Hermann Baumann.

In 1983 Wolfgang Braun was engaged as solo horn at the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 1985 he moved to the Bamberg Symphony as low horn. In addition to working in Bamberg, he has been a regular guest at the Mito Chamber Orchestra and the Saito Kinen Orchestra in Japan.
