Yumi Nishimura

Yumi Nishimura started by studying the violin at the Toho Gakuen Music School in Tokyo (Japan). In 1991, she moved to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (USA), to pursue further studies in violin, viola and chamber music. She won several prizes in the US and Japan. She also studied with Prof. James Creitz at the Trossingen University of Music. She has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony since 2003.
