Boris-Alexander Jusa
Boris Alexander Jusa was born in Freiburg im Breisgau and received his first violin lessons at the age of eleven from his father, followed by studies with Prof. Jörg Hofmann at the Freiburg University of Music. After graduating from high school, he began his studies at the Mannheim University of Music, which he completed in 2007 with a master class exam with Prof. Susanne Rabenschlag. He participated in master classes with Lewis Kaplan and Shmuel Ashkenasi. With his string quartet, he studied in the chamber music class of the Verdi Quartet, was a prize winner at the International University Competition, made numerous radio recordings, and performed at concert series and chamber music festivals in Germany and abroad. Master classes with the Amadeus Quartet, the Mandelring Quartet, the Vermeer Quartet, and Prof. Eberhard Feltz complemented his chamber music training. He has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony since 2012.
