Janos Wollenweber

Solo oboe

Born in 2002 to two professional oboists, Janos Wollenweber received his musical foundation at an early age. During his school years, he was a multiple prizewinner at the Jugend musiziert competition and gained formative orchestral experience as a member of the German National Youth Orchestra.

He began his formal training as a junior student at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin with Prof. Gerd-Albrecht Kleinfeld. In 2020, he continued his studies with Prof. Dominik Wollenweber. As a sought-after orchestral musician, he has since performed with ensembles such as the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic.

From 2022 to the end of 2024, he was a scholarship holder at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. Since January 2025, Janos Wollenweber has held the position of Principal Oboist with the Bamberg Symphony.
