Luuk Godwaldt

Luuk Godwaldt studied double bass with his father Paul Godwaldt at the Brabant Conservatoire in Tilburg, in the Netherlands, from 1996 to 2001. He moved to Weimar for his postgraduate studies, which he completed under H.D. Wenkel in 2003.

After playing in the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra for two years, Luuk Godwaldt enrolled in the Berlin State Opera Orchestral Academy. In 2005 he took up the post of double bass with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra – Bavarian State Philharmonic.
