Magdalena Kraus

Born in Upper Austria in 1997, Magdalena Kraus received her first violin lessons at the age of five in her hometown of Eferding with Angelika Dallinger. In 2011 she switched to the "Academy for the Promotion of the Gifted", where she studied with Prof. Josef Sabaini, where she continued her studies with Prof. Josef Sabaini. From 2017 to 2021, she completed her studies at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre with Prof. Tanja Becker-Bender and since October she has been a Master's student in the class of Prof. Thomas Reif at the Mozarteum Salzburg.
In 2016, she was awarded the "Nibelungen Förderpreis" and the Kiwanis Culture Prize of the State of Upper Austria.
In summer 2019 Magdalena was part of the Camerata Davos as an academist and in March
2020 in the Orchestra Academy of the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg.
She has been part of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since January 2022.
