Quinten de Roos

Quinten de Roos had his first violin lessons with Peter de Leeuw in Amsterdam. He completed his studies with Lex Korff de Gidts, Prof. Keiko Wataya and Prof. Alexander Kerr at the Utrecht Music Conservatoire, and with Prof. Thomas Brandis in Berlin. He attended advanced classes under Herman Krebbers, Prof. Lewis Kaplan, Viktor Liberman and Vienna’s Altenberg Trio.

He gained his first orchestral experiences in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra. From 1997 to 2001 he was a member of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, before joining the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra in 2002. He has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra since 2007.
