Thomas Forstner

Thomas Forstner was born in Bad Wildbad in the Black Forest, and studied with Prof. Horst-Dieter Bolz at the Trossingen State University of Music. He was a member of the Federal Youth Orchestra, Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and Frankfurt’s Opera and Museum Orchestra.

He has been employed by the Bamberg Symphony as deputy solo trumpet since 1992, and has been a member of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra since 1994. He is a lecturer at the Dinkelsbühl State Vocational Music School.
