Zazie Lewandowski

Zazie Lewandowski was born in Berlin, and started by learning the violin for eight years, before switching to the viola under Prof. Alfred Lipka at Berlin’s Special Music School. She went on to study with Lipka at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music.

Her first engagement, from 1985 to 1989, took her to Berlin’s Komische Oper as section leader. She was deputy solo viola in Braunschweig until 1992, when she moved to the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.
