Children's concert in Baden-Baden

Baden-Baden, Festspielhaus
11:00 Uhr

It was the frog who messed everything up – with a very simple question: »So who are you?« What’s a little, multicoloured animal supposed to say? It doesn’t know its name, let alone what it is... In its quest for the answer, the animal with no name sets off on a long journey, experiencing rejection, unfriendliness and ridicule, but also receiving offers of help and goodwill, and finally learns the answer, which no other animal could have given it: »I’m me!« The Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas turned the classic 1972 children’s book by Mira Lobe and Susi Weigel into a melodrama for children aged 4 to 10, which had its German premiere with the Bamberg Symphony in May 2017. A musical journey – not just for children!
