        »The Baton«, the documentary of the Bamberg Symphony Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition, has been reviewed as »one of the most original movies about classical music in a long time« by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

        The renowned video filmer Michael Wende has produced several Youtube videos of our Orchestra. He is also the director of the award-winning documentary »The Baton«.

        The Bamberg Symphony's collaboration with Bavarian Radio dates back to the 1950s; today they still enjoy a close partnership, the source of countless concert relays, studio recordings and co-productions for LP and CD.
