Gebet für die Ukraine / Prayer for Ukraine (Valentin Silvestrov)

More than 20 nations, including Russians and Ukrainians, make music together in the Bamberg Symphony. It is our destiny as an orchestra to set a symphonic sign of solidarity in these difficult times and to convey hope for peace.
For this reason, we have recorded the piece "Prayer for Ukraine" by the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov (arranged for orchestra by Eduard Resatsch) with our chief conductor Jakub Hrůša. This sign of solidarity is the musical expression of what moves all of us - the entire orchestra, principal conductor Jakub Hrůša and our management - in our hearts these days.
